On March 1st Pepsi & Max get to go on their 5th holiday! this time we are off to Chesterfield

January 26th

January 18th
Pepsi & Max's are doing really well, they are off for their yearly health check and booster on monday, hopefully they will both have a clean bill of health!

As for Baby well what can i say?? hes too clever by half, hes currently in training for the olympics and the eurovision song contest lol

December 12th
Today is Pepsi & Max's 2nd birthday!! they have been spoilt rotten as usual! lol

October 25th
Max has been at the vet again with tummy problems, they have done more tests and we have been told that he is susceptible to pancreatitus.
We try to be so careful with his diet, but he is such a thief, so we are now making even tighter restrictions on everything, to ensure that he cant get at anything, other dog owners will appreciate how hard this is.

On a brighter note Pepsi is thriving, you would never think that only a few months ago she hardly moved, we shall be posting up to date pics of Pepsi, Max and Baby very soon!

August 22nd
Never rains but pours!
Max has been back and forth the vet with pancreatitis he was in so much pain, but several antibiotic injections, pain killers and tummy medicine, Max is back to his old self!

Pepsi is doing more than well, she has a funny little walk but is back to her old self!!

13th July
Pepsi saw the specialist on July 9th, and he is more than pleased with her,
She can now start having more exercise, and its more a case of trial and error as to what Pepsi can do.
The specialist has ensured us that the worst that could possibly happen now is she could strain her leg,
as you can imagine we have been imagining all sorts about what could happen, anyway, thanks to all who sent Pepsi best wishes!

30th June
Pepsi is doing really well, she still walks and holds her leg in an odd way, which we shall be mentioning to the specialist when she sees him on July 9th.

We dont know if this is normal in such cases???
We will post more after the 9th

13th June
Pepsi is continuing to make good progress, the main problem at the moment is keeping her still lol,
She finishes her painkillers on Friday, hopefully she wont need to continue taking them as the pain will of eased,
She so wants to be able to run around with Max, he does all he can to try and get her to place chase, for now he has to make do with wrestling my youngest son Martin.
We shall keep you posted on what happens

31st May
Well great news! today we can breathe, Pepsi's insurance company has covered Pepsi's operation and treatment costs of over £1500

28th May
We took Pepsi to her regular vet today to have her stitches taken out, the vet is pleased with her progress although he says she is still a little pale and run down but this is obviously owing to the surgery and the after effects.
Pepsi is to remain on metacam pain relief for at least the next 4wks and her exercise is to remain severely restricted for the next 2½ months.
We are so pleased with Pepsi's progress however we are sure people who have gone or are going through similar experiences will know how nerve shattering and time consuming it is ensuring their dogs dont injure themselves, or go to jump up etc, especially when accompanied by a big brother wanting to play lol

18th May

11th May
Good news the specialist rang today, our insurance company is covering the cost of Pepsi's surgery.

Pepsi will have her operation on the 17th of May which is 6 days away, we are so nervous.

Please keep Pepsi in your thoughts and say a little pray for her ;)

14th April
Well Pepsi saw the specialist yesterday, he told us that the surgery on Pepsi's leg cannot be left, the problem is a genetic deformity, you can view Pepsi's X-Ray pictures HERE,

The reason why Pepsi screamed so bad and for so long when she originally hurt her leg last month was the tendon holding her knee in place had ripped, the knee bone was held in place because of the tendon, but this had over stretched and torn.

We have also been told Pepsi's left leg is probably going to end up the same way, you can see in detail on the x-ray link page above.

The specialist has told us the price of the surgery is around £1300 not including the consiltation fee.

We are now waiting to see if Pepsi's insurance will cover the costs.

30th March
On the 28th Pepsi starting vomiting bile after taking Rimadyl, the vet recommended stopping the tablets and to see how she goes, by the following morning Pepsi was back screaming in pain, she is now taking Metacam, a non-steroidal anti inflammatory, so far Pepsi is coping ok,

Roll on April 13th when Pepsi sees a specialist, its heart breaking seeing her in such discomfort and pain :(

March 19th
Due to the amount of pain Pepsi returned to the vet today (19th) it has been confirmed Pepsi's has a Luxating patella,(detailed description HERE), her knee joint keeps popping out of the socket, no matter how many times the vet popped it back in it came back out

Pepsi has had her pain relief increased and is in alot of discomfort.

Regular visitors will know that Max already suffers with patella problems and is being monitored, however on Friday morning Pepsi jumped off the sofa and was screaming uncontrollably for what seemed an eternity.
To cut a long story short we rushed her to the vet who thought her problem was the same as Max's

On getting X-ray results the vet has found two areas on the X-ray around the knee that he cant explain and has referred Pepsi to a specialist for a months time. Pepsi is now on pain relief and rest,
